Cariboo Bowl Safety Plan
Cariboo Bowl is working to ensure that our centre is clean,sanitized and maintained. We have installed an exhaust fan at rear of building to keep airflow moving out of the building, uv germicidal lights in furnace to disinfect air moving through a/c and furnace and uv portable germicidal lights for after hours disinfection of bowlers area. As we begin to re-open, the health and safety of our guests and staff are important to us so please assist us by following the Provincial COVID-19 safety protocols as well as the following requests.
Protocols:
Should you feel unwell (I.e. coughing, sneezing, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, etc.), think you have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, or if someone from your household has returned from travelling abroad please stay home
Practice social distancing from co-workers and customers while on the premises. Floor markers are being used to ensure guests maintain 2 metre distancing from workers and to ensure each group of guests maintain 2 metre distancing from guests outside of their group.
There is to be NO hand-to-hand contact with guests or co-workers (no handshakes, fist bumps, high-fives)   
For contact tracing purposes, all groups, must provide a contact name and phone number which will be recorded by staff
Situations where interactions between employees and customers is common will offer mutual protection we have installed sneeze guards at both kitchen and main counter to seperate staff and guests. Sneeze guards will be cleaned regularly.
Social distancing measures are in place at Cariboo Bowl, staff and guests are to maintain 2 metres from others where barriers are not in place,facility occupancy limits have been reduced
Limit of 5 groups of 6 people per lane. 1 hour time rental by reservation only, bigger groups will have to be on seperate lanes - no exceptions, only every other lane will be used to allow social distancing
New customers shall not be permitted on the lane before the lane area is cleaned and cleared of staff. To maintain 2 meter distancing, staff should only clean customer lane areas after the area has been fully cleared by the customer group.
Staff should do their best to maintain 2 metre distancing at all times when behind the counters. One staff in the kitchen at a time. No visitors behind the counters.
Cariboo Bowl will ensure that employees are trained on how to clean and disinfect surfaces. Items such as countertops, chairs, phones, cashier equipment, light switches, public washrooms, doorknobs, handrails, faucet handles, tables will be disinfected more frequently throughout the day.
Signage and floor stickers have been placed throughout Cariboo Bowl to remind customers to wash hands, stay home if sick, to help maintain distancing. Floor stickers to help guide staff and customers in maintaining 2 metre distancing.
Cariboo Bowl will ensure that all employees are informed of the best practices to encourage proper hygiene etiquette. Health and safety are a responsibility that belongs to everyone in the workplace.
Frequent hand washing is encouraged and hand sanitizer stations are provided.Wash your hands: when you arrive at work,before and after food preparation,before and after going on a break,after using the washroom,after handling cash,hand washing and sanitization protocols are posted.

When finished bowling, customers will leave rental shoes at the lane area. Shoes will be collected by staff, returned to the front desk and sanitized before reuse. Shoe return - guests will be given a bag to put shoe rentals in to be left at the lanes; staff will grab bag when they sanitize/disinfect bowler area - wash bag after.
Bowling balls - Each group will be provided with bowling balls, staff will sanitize/disinfect after each group is done bowling.
Removed the use of wet cloths
ATM & front desk will be cleaned after each customer.
All customer area contact surfaces at each lane will be disinfected between each group.
Washrooms: Washrooms will be cleaned hourly,all high touch surfaces in washrooms will be cleaned hourly, or more frequently if needed.
Food services closed, only packaged food items to be sold along with beverages,hands will be washed/sanitized before and after sale.
Coffee will be served by staff,hands will be washed/sanitized before and after.
The following employee wellness and hygiene procedures are in place at this location: Cariboo Bowl will pre-screen all employees when reporting for work. This will consist of a temperature check.  Employees will be asked to declare whether they have been displaying any COVID-19 Symptoms and/or whether they have been in contact with anybody who has displayed such symptoms or whether they have been in contact with anybody who has been outside Canada within the past 14 days.
Workers have been instructed to stay home if they are ill or experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
